Logging In Help

Firstly you must be a Registered Customer of MCA order to use this facility.

If you are a registered customer and cannot log in then please read on.

Before doing anything else, check your username and password and try again - remembering that these words contain numbers and letters (a number 1 can look like a letter I ) and also note that letters are case sensitive.

Most problems with logging in are 'cookie' related. You must have session cookies enabled on your computer in order to able to use the client log in facility. A session cookie is a little text file which is created and saved on your hard disk whilst you are signed on but is removed when you close your browser - hence the name 'session' cookie. We use them to increase the security of the site.

You should not have a problem with any version of Internet Explorer lower than 5. You may have a problem with version 5 and you will most likely have a problem with version 6 as it comes installed with session cookies disabled!

Anybody who is running WindowsXP may well experience problems as this operating system is shipped with session cookies disabled.

Here's how to switch them on:-

First check what version of Internet Explorer you are running - this is easily done by selecting 'Help' from the main tool bar followed by 'About Internet Explorer'.

Internet Explorer Version 5

  • In Internet Explorer, select 'Tools' from the tool bar at the top of the screen.
  • Select 'Internet Options'
  • Select the 'Security' tab
  • Scroll down the list and tick the box to enable session cookies.

Internet Explorer Version 6

  • In Internet Explorer, select 'Tools' from the tool bar at the top of the screen.
  • Select 'Internet Options'
  • Select the 'Privacy' tab
  • Click the button marked 'Advanced'
  • Tick the two boxes, 'Override Automatic Cookie Handling' and 'Always Allow Session Cookies'
  • Tick 'Ok' twice.

If you are still incurring problems email support@mca-aston.com and we will contact you as soon as we can to assist with overcoming your problem.
